1982–
1984–1985
1985–1994
Starting with MicroVMS on a MicroVAX II
1986
Renamed all the commands to make it look like UNIX.
1987–1989
First use of email while working on my degree at uni
1988–1990
Hoovered stuff out of a VAX, shoved it into Excel, made pretty reports for management...
1989–1990
Just got in at the end of the wave, by joining a Polytechnic course in computer studies. Biggest memory was email. Yep there was an email bonanza going on between young people that was as not as wild as facebook is today but similar :p
1989–1997
First exposure at college, but I later worked on a system at a hospital in 96-97.
1990–2004
Tennessee Technological University
1990–1997
1990–1991
1992–1993
First exposure to a "real" multi-user, multitasking OS. Wish I had gotten more into it, but I was drinking the GUI kool-aid at that time.
1993
Only briefly at university, thankfully.
1994–1997
Used whilst at Birkbeck College in London University. I should have been studying philosophy but spent most of my time plugged into a VAX ;-)
2000–2002
2002–2005
used at university
2005–2008
Learned on SIMH for fun, then bought an old VAXStation to play with.
