It's better than XP. Obviously it's better than Vista. I just game on it.

Currently using this at work. Best OS Microsoft has ever written. Still think it sucks compared to OS X and Ubuntu though. No unix under the hood means its a failure to me.

Not any dramatic styling changes, visual effects are a improved but there is a serious improvement in stability issues. Not such a big step if you compare it with XP which is a 2001 product.

A very nice OS for the desktop in terms of hardware support, security, responsiveness and stability.

I love it. So far it's the best Windows of the bunch. It still lags behind some of the more future-friendly OS' (the *nixes seem to have a handle on this) but it's a wonderful OS to use on a daily basis.

Not a bad OS, but I often by cheap laptops that have weak hardware so I never used it much.

My laptop currently runs this. Beats Vista by a longshot. It does tend to have the occasional compatibility problem, though.

My college gives away free licenses for Microsoft products, so I gave it a spin. It's faster than Vista, but still bombs if you have less than 2 GB of RAM. You might say everybody nowadays has that, but this is only in the First World, it's 2011 and in Mexico you still see people who can't afford anything better than a 2 GHz Pentium 4...
