1996–
It was firstly introduced in a database management course. Then it became something important to all courses and projects that needed a database. Having said that I did switch from Oracle to SQL Server.
1997–
Learned relationnal programming with SQL at the University and rediscover it in 2001. I never really used the PL part though.
1997–1999
OMG I hope I never have to touch do it again.

1999–2002
Used at University and on my placement year.
1999–
Probably the thing I've now written the most code in, after ~25 years in IT.
1999–
It is only recently that I really used the PL part.
1999–
SQL (and therefore the PL addons) gets a bad rap sometimes. It can be quite an elegant language.

I still use (and love) SQL, but no longer use PL/SQL

Learned it at college. I found it the easiest language in the world, it's all about knowing how relationships work and then it's just learning the syntax.
2008
Used for work, as a late-comer to the party. No idea what was going on.

2008–
I have a love hate relationship with SQL. So I rarely bother with it.
