1976–1979
Also PDP-11 BASIC (RSTS-E not VMS). My first language. Tried to program a role playing game but quickly hit the limits of 32k RAM and hated waiting 15 minutes for the paper tape to read.
1981–1984
Used this for quick&dirty things on he VAXen at University. Years include BASIC PLUS on the PDP-11, which isn't an option.
1985–1988
There is no security restriction that can not be creatively bypassed to create a group chat program.
1988–1990
BASIC was one of the most popular languages on VAX/VMS systems in the 80s. I didn't much care for it and was glad to leave it behind.
1991–1993
All of my high school programming courses (both of them) were taught in VAX Basic. What fun that was...
