1997–
Great for projects with many files.
2004–
2004–2009
2005–
Started using TextMate when I finally became comfortable using it over EditPlus. There was a period of time where I was trying to find the best EditPlus replacement on the Mac. Went though many different options.
2005–2007
Probably the best GUI text editor out there, save for files larger than about 100k. Once I got better at Vim (and found Vim's column selection/tabs/etc) I ditched TM and made Vim my sole editor of choice.
2005–
Waiting for TM2 forever!!!
2005–2009
Switched to Linux and then switched to vim full time. TextMate was great, but now I'm spoiled with vim.
2005–
After being a lifelong PC user, I scrounged together a Frankenstein PowerMac G4 just to be able to run TextMate. I switched to the Mac fulltime in 2006 and have never looked back.
2005–
tidy but not perfect
2005–2011
2006–
Registration says "12 March 2006". Also use "E" on Windows, a TextMate clone.

2006–
Probably the reason why I got a mac in the first place.

Thrown away
2006–2011
Stopped using it for Sublime 2
2007–2009
Horrible large file support, long release cycles, but pretty.

As a good Mac user, I have Textmate installed, but I rarely use it. Its slowness makes me prefer VIM.
2008–
best, editor, ever. (Even with its limitations).
2008–

2009
Used this for a few weeks while I had a mac at a past job. Not as good as Gedit, sorry.
2009–
Text editor of choice once I moved to my MBP
2009–
I love textmate, but I can't wait for version 2.0
2009–
2010–
Current favorite editor. It has its flaws, but no other editor matches its combination of simplicity & power.
2010–
Very well done editor.
