Switched from vi to vim at my new job that had mapped /bin/vi to /bin/vim on a Redhat 5.2 box and never looked back. Still use it when I'm ssh'd in for a quick file review but moved to Emacs in 2009 for the majority of my editing.
A convert from vim. In retrospect, not sure why I resisted trying it for so long. It has improved my development skills in concrete ways in a short period of time.
