Ah, the TI-99/4A. I spent many long hours copying programs from books into mine, figuring out what made them tick. I tended not to tweak them too much, though, because not only did it require about an hour just to punch in a program that was already provided, but saving your own meant dealing with the fiddly cassette recorder. The only thing that made it all worth it: the speech synthesizer.
