1976–1987
On IBM 360's using punch cards, and (much later) HP 3000's.
1978–1980
On IBM 360's, maintaining a set of programs that modified themselves as they ran. Drove me nuts.
1982–2000
Various dialects, starting with IBM 5110, thru HP250, to Visual Basic.
1987–1988
Just played around, trying to learn to think in 64 dimensions.
1988–1990
Interfaces to digitizers
1995–1998
Developed a manufacturing shop floor scheduling program. Smalltalk was probably the only language it could have been done in at the time. Still my fave.
2000–
Got deepest doing both client and server-side JS for JotSpot. Nice to use same language on both sides, but still an impedance mismatch.
2001–2003
Working for a British business transaction software company.
2003
One business transaction client app.
2007–
Learned Python to learn Django to learn Pinax.
