I started using Python to for scripts and mini wxPython apps in Ubuntu. I loved it from the beginning, and I continue to use it now with Django.

Used for scripting while in a strict corporate IT environment that blocked the use of Python.

We're taking on a Rails project this year, so I'm starting to explore. I definitely prefer Django, though.
