Learned a little BASIC in 6th grade. I made an animation of a cliff jumper diving into the ocean.... splash.

Took two semesters of C++, I didn't really enjoy the projects much, so I wasn't inspired.

Took one semester of Assembly, really enjoyed the low level programming.

Took one semester of Java, I didn't really enjoy the projects much, so I wasn't inspired.

ActionScript

2003–2006

I was inspired by the work of Joshua Davis and I really enjoyed the combination of Actionscript/Flash for some time. I tried learning OOP via actionscript but that didn't go very well.

PHP

2005–2008

I was happy to make websites that delivered dynamic content. I never enjoyed writing PHP, but I got things done with it.

Python

2008–

Finally a language that inspired me to dig deep. Too far gone, no way back.

Learned out of a need to solve repetitive command line tasks and sysadmin work.

Started to enjoy javascript after reading 'the good parts'.

Did a small rails site and would like to try more again someday.
