1998–
My programming mother tongue. I ate up that Perl For Dummies book I bought at Barns & Noble in Federal Way, Washington! First project? RuterSearch: http://weston.ruter.net/projects/rutersearch/ I still use Perl a lot of text processing and for various system utilities. PHP has replaced Perl for web development, which I hope to replace with Python ASAP.
1999–
My favorite language. Excited for it to become ubiquitous on the serer as is it is on the client with the CommonJS initiative.
2000–
My love for Perl gave way to the ubiquity of PHP.
2001–2004
Thank God I only had to use this for a couple classes.
2001–2003
Superseded by C++
2002–2005
For my CS program at Seattle Pacific University.
2003–2005
A scorn upon mankind. Forced to use with Classic ASP, although I'd try to use JScript whenever possible.
2004–
First learned for a Syntax Tree Drawer project: an XSLT would translate an input into a structured SVG file.
2009–
Started working with Python and Django for the Open Scriptures project. Trying to repent of PHP, but reform of Perl.
