1986–1990
First language I ever got in contact with, during primary school :D Loved it, then I was presented with BASIC, which ruined everything :P
1987–
1988–
Mainly through MS-DOS' "debug" tool. I had a x86 as first computer :(, and the programming possibilities on it (for me) back then were not that many, but I still tried to get the hang of assembly
1989–
Had a first bad experience with it, because I was still too young and the documentation that I got along with the compiler was sub-par. It's become one of my primary languages since.
1991–1999
Got it from a friend while at high-school. My first (successful) experience with a compiled language.
1992–
When I got my first *decent* C manual, it also covered C++, so I put it under my belt on the way... It wasn't until another 10 years that I got a copy of Stroupstrup's book on the language that I started to make a decent use of it.
1996–
1996–
Come with my first Linux :)
1997–
Met it on a Numerical Analysis course at uni. Still using it every now and then for my job :)
1999–
1999–
2001–
Has become my main language since I was told to use it on the company I was employed at the time.
2005–
