1984–
We all learned basic at one point. It's what made us the twisted, hateful shells of humanity that we are.
1984–
First programming language I ever started to use, way back when I was little.
1985–
The language of the first computer I ever owned. Remember when magazines used to have code listings for entire games? Remember the awful autocomplete on the ZX 81? I still have the manual for this somewhere too.
1988–1990
Used to play about with it in primary school.
1990–1996
I LOVED MY AMIGA
1994–1996
Primary language (or at least, a variant called Unicomal) taught during high school.
1994–1996
Part of the higher computing curriculum.
1996–
Learned in univeristy, plus I used to teach it a bit.
1996–1998
The major O/S that was used at my undergrad university was VMS, and I spent two happy years (before they scrapped it) exploring the system and the scripting language associated with it.
1996–
Learned in university, plus was my 'first language' for a long time.
1997–
Learned in university, plus it's a language I have been forced to teach on more than one occassion.
1998–
Learned in university, and it became my first language after prolonged exposure. Wrote a couple of texts on the subject which are freely available at http://www.monkeys-at-keyboards.com
1998–
Learned in University, and also one of the languages I teach. I hate it though, it's a terrible hell language.
1999–
Ah, LPC - the most niche of the languages I know. Started off with writing LPC on Discworld MUD, and continue to write it even to this day. I also wrote a couple of texts on the subject of LPC coding using the Discworld mudlib, available at http://www.monkeys-at-keyboards.com
2002
Played with it a little for building server side web apps for an early web page. Hate it with a passion.
2002–
Learned C# and ASP .NET to develop the Ecologics waste management software. It's not as glamarous as it sounds.
2003–
Experimentation and teaching only. Far from my favourite language.
2005–2006
Experimentation only
2007
Experimented with it briefly because of its roots in LPC
2007–2008
Scripting of several WoW add-ons (I know, I am very sad)
