Built my own MK14 when I was in boarding school in the UK. Hex keypad, cassette tape storage. Hand assembling code. Love it !

Simula

1980–1983

Only used it in school, I still have the Simula Begin book right here on my bookshelf.

Prolog

1980–1983

I learned Prolog from Dr. Kowalski, the guy who's work is the basis of prolog.

Pascal

1980–1983

Teaching language of choice in the UK. Used it as one of the main language during my Imperial days in London.

PL/I

1983–1988

My first commercial programming job, on a Stratus fault tolerant mini computer. It was a PL/1 subset implementation, which is pretty good actually for large scale software.
