1990–1993
The first computer language I have ever learnt. It was taught at first year of secondary school.
1993–1995
That's the computer language we used in HKCEE exam.
1996–
It was firstly introduced in a database management course. Then it became something important to all courses and projects that needed a database. Having said that I did switch from Oracle to SQL Server.
1996–2000
It was "the" language used in almost all computer science courses during my undergraduate studies. It was JDK1.1.8 at that time.
1997
Only used it in one computer science course, never touch it afterwards.
1997
One course in computer science, then also one time helping another friend's project but that's about it.
1997
Learn it in a computer science course, couldn't even remember what type of assembly language it was. I only remember we used a PowerPC for practicing.
1999
Another computer science course about functional programming.
1999–2008
My first project was to use Visual Basic and Crystal Reports to create some sort of a decision support system for an e-learning platform. Then apart from development I was also involved in teaching Visual Basic in lectures, from VB6 to VB2008. I stopped using VB when we moved to C# eventually in 2009.
2000–
Couldn't really remember when exactly I learn JavaScript ... I was teaching it in lectures from 2005-2009 but recently dropped it.
2001–
Well I never learn C# but with both VB and Java background I just pick it up automatically. Not use it often until 2009.
