1982–1984
I used this at school, and now sometimes still teach it to kids.
1982–1985
First ever experience programming was with Logo at Primary School. I'm now helping my daughter to learn / use it. :-)
1982
on ataris? i have dim memories of using paperclips in the joystick ports because there weren't enough to go around... a small tribute: http://en.literateprograms.org/Turtle_graphics_(JavaScript)
1982
Fun sideproject
1982
On Atari 800. Hey, I got the cart for free. :-)
1982–1983
My first encounter with programming was in LOGO. It was in a second grade gifted and talented course in Phoenix, AZ (Desert Horizon Elementary, yo!).
1983–
Picked it up in middle school, taught it in high school. More recently my daughter enjoyed dabbling in it but has moved on to Scratch.
1983–1994
1984–1985
1984–1988
Learned some in computer summer camp and elementary school.
1985
1985
1985–1986
Logo was my very first experience in programming at Primary School on a Thompson TO7.
1986–
My really first programming language. It was pure magic. I made a program who drew the map of Belgium.
1986
1986–
Wrote a game on the Amstrad PCW with it
1986–1987
Only green?
1986
My junior school had an actual robotic turtle. We didn't do much with it though besides drawing houses and things
1986–1990
First language I ever got in contact with, during primary school :D Loved it, then I was presented with BASIC, which ruined everything :P
1986–1988
on and off
1987–1988
We had Apple ][e's at my primary school. I was too young to fall in love.
1987–1988
my primary school had this hidden away on a computer. I got in trouble for not following the lesson plan and banned from using the school's only computer for the rest of my primary school years.. I think because i managed to run things the teacher didn't know existed. She was afraid i was breaking it in some way. computers were scary
1987
Turtle! Forward 100! Left 90! Forward 100! Left 90! Forward 100! Left 90! Forward 100! HAZ SQUARE!
1988–
Learned it at school, and on a friend's Amstrad PCW 8256.
1988–1991
Ah, those were the days!
1988–
I taught myself logo by trial and error, and then did it in school again in 1994.
1988–1989
What started it all for me.
1989–
1990–1991
First programming experience on an Apple][e. Was amazing.
1990
PENDOWN I didn't understand this was a programming language. We just made turtles run around the screen. I didn't get the point, but the pictures were interesting. PENUP
1990–1993
The first computer language I have ever learnt. It was taught at first year of secondary school.
1991–1992
Made a turtle that traced through a map on screen.
1991–1992
1991–1992
1991
1992–1993
My introduction to programming, in first grade.
1992–1994
Learned this in grade school.
1994–1996
1995–1996
1995–1996
Learnt LOGO in school.
1995–1996
I very vaguely remeber makeing that little turtle dance around the screen at the time it was so voodoo but it brings back my first spark of computer memories of the schools computer labs
1997–1998
i really enjoyed using this, made the turtle draw a number of vehicles on the screen; probably the 1st time i ever thought like a programmer
1998
My $5 TRS-80 Color Computer 2 came with a cartridge and we happened to have some old LOGO instructional workbooks around. Didn't see much potential.
1999
Made a triangle that represented a 'turtle' draw other triangles, etch-a-sketch style!
1999–2000
2000–2001
Turtle Mania!
2000
It was my first school's first attempt at teaching IT, I spent more time playing Sky than working with the turtle.
2000–2002
My father showed me some trivial programming concepts when I was little.
2009
I suppose I'm a latecomer here, but I tried this for the first time not long ago and sat down with my young daughter and drew some interesting pictures... I need to go do this again!
2010–
